All dimensions in the table below are given in inches. These are actual measurements of the item itself. In deciding which size is for you we recommend that you pull out your "go-to" similar garments, and lay them flat on your bed to measure them against the chart below and see what matches up!
The fit
These 6" inseam Casual Chino Shorts have a "lower-rise" fit, just like our Summer 4" inseam chinos. These have a looser leg opening than our other chinos for a more casual, everyday fit.
Sort of in-between waist sizes? If you sometimes or always have issues like a lot of us with "muffin-topping", meaning more than average body fat around your mid-section, we recommend going with the larger size to prevent this from occurring with these shorts.
Especially because...
These shorts will shrink in the dryer!
Because they shrink and chino does not stretch nearly as much as our mesh shorts, you will probably want to get 1 size up from what you would get in our athletic shorts. If they end up a little too loose you can always shrink them in the dryer a few times ;)
Like all premium stretch chino material, the cotton (97%) & spandex (3%) blend will eventually shrink about 0.5" to 1" in all dimensions below if you dry them in the dryer. We strongly recommend cold wash only on "delicate" setting and air drying them, hung or laid flat (prevent most wrinkles by hand smoothing at this stage), followed by a cool iron if necessary. The Interior Cabin
These shorts have inside-smooth chino side pockets (not cheap canvas or muslin) that are hidden behind the mesh lining for an overall smooth interior feel, a secure buttoned back pocket, and a soft button fly. Truly, the first casual shorts designed to be comfortable and worthy enough for going commando! Do you have to freeball in these shorts? Nope. But that’s how smooth and comfortable they are!
Materials
Our unique COMMANDO Anti-Microbial Nylon-Spandex Materials
You might know that nylon is several times more durable that polyester and is the superior synthetic fiber for stain resistance – that means our shorts and tanks look new and hold their shape longer than the other items in your closet!
But what you may not know is that nylon fiber has the inherent ability to block growth of several odor-causing species or organisms including Micrococcus, Corynebacterium and Staphylococcus aureus that feed on sebaceous secretions. Why? One of the reasons is that nylon is lipophobic – meaning it does not absorb oil or other lipids – whereas polyester absorbs oils.
That means our shorts and tanks can often be worn more times without washing and always smell fresher than other athletic clothing made from polyester! Our material is several times more expensive that polyester mesh. But we like the smoother feel, the durability and all of the other properties that make up the superior quality and value of WOOF garments vs. most of the other brands!

Got these shorts and they are great! I went with the same sizing that I got the other shorts on this site for, (athletic-training shorts, and the holographic shorts with zippered pockets) which is medium. These casual chino shorts fit ever-so-slightly more snug, so my only advice is to size up with these ones. The mediums still fit great, but I get a bit of “moose knuckling” if you know what I mean, so there is a need to wear some underwear with these. The blue lining on the black chino fabric looks great, and the shorts look really good. I definitely recommend this product, but make sure you have checked out the sizing chart!
